Blog moved

June 26, 2007

I’ve moved my blog.

I guess those who’ve read this blog know about my new one already. But if you’re one of the few who don’t then have a look at it at http://uberexposed.blogspot.com/

I won’t be posting any more entries here, so if you’re interested I’d be happy to see you over at my new blog.

Short update

August 30, 2006

Up until now I (or rather my mate Stefan) was trying to get Internet in the apartement we live, but it turned out to be pretty complicated and expensive, in the end not cheaper than surfing at a Internet cafe (4.5 – 6 $ per hour).

I haven’t shot much up until now and I doubt it will get much more. I’ll surely get some more shots but it surely will be way less than I expected (I guess even less than I shoot usually at home). And since I’m using PCs at the Internet cafe it won’t really work to take the photos here and upload them (I lack the right on the PC, the lines are slow and I don’t have any software to at least downsize them).

So, most likely I’ll post some stuff on Cuba after I’m back in Austria – which will be earlier than I usually planned. My mate Stefan’s leaving on the 7th to work in China for two weeks, since I don’t speak the language (and haven’t learned much yet :p) I’d be kinda lost, so I prefer going home, there’s plenty of stuff to do there anyways. My new flight home is leaving on the 5th of September, I’ll afterwards have to tramp down to Vienna, guess I’ll be back home on the 7th or so.

Thank you guys for your comments, sorry I can’t reply to them atm (you know, the money issue). Take care everyone, I’ll most likely won’t post here anymore before my return.

Tomorrow I’m leaving for Cuba. The connection flight to Frankfurt is leaving early, at 7:40am. At 11am I’m finally off in the plane to Havanna.

So what’s the plan? Basically hang around in Havanna, that’s it. So there will be plenty of time to get into Cuban life and explore the city – of course with the camera. I have some projects I’d like to work on, but since I was too busy with prepartion there’s I don’t have a clear plan at the moment. Since I’ll should have access to internet at least sometimes I’ll try to update this blog regulary.

Actually I wanted to pose with all the gear I’m taking with me, but I’m short on time. So, the short version: Canon 5D, Canon AE-1, Canonet 28 and a sweet Konica Hexar (big thanks to my brother Rafael) along with 140 rolls of film. Ah, and the Lomo Supersampler. I hope getting used to all this stuff won’t keep my from taking the photos that I want. Let’s see – you can judge yourself soon.

And as you may have noticed I decide to write in English. So bare with my poor vocabulary and grammar.

That’s it for the moment. Next post comes straight from Havanna. Take care, visit this blog and comment if you feel like it – I’d be happy to hear from everyone of you.
